Written by Kyle

Following are the release notes for additions, changes and fixes made to our software application releasing between December 13th, 2023 and December 27th, 2023. Release notes are delivered every other Friday. If you have any additional questions, comments or concerns, please send an email to support@enmotive.com.

NEW FEATURES

New content type of “Social Media Bar” now available for Email Campaigns

We have added a new content type in email campaigns for “Social Media Bar”. When used, this will automatically list all icons available that have been setup for the event including Facebook, Twitter (X), Email and Instagram.

Admins can now change their event slug

An admin is now able to update the event slug associated with their event. The event slug is the human readable name that is assigned to an event that replaces the UUID at the end of the registration URL, event marketing site URL and fundraising URL. This is generated upon event creation based upon the event name. We will now allow the user to change this as long as there are no completed registrations. It is to be noted, this should not be changed if links have already been distributed and cannot be changed as slugs will not be forwarded. This can be changed in the Event Manager –> Event –> Setup location. An event slug is unique to the database, so it may be possible “2024-turkey-trot-5k” is already taken, so we assign that value “2024-turkey-trot-5k_1” if there is a duplicate. This will allow the user to change the slug to not have the underscore, without having to change the event name to say “2024-turkey-trot-5k-norman”

Event slugs / URL’s will automatically be forwarded to the next year’s linked event, 30 days post event date

We will now auto forward event slugs and links to the next year linked event once 30 days has passed since the event end date. This will help users who access past registration or event marketing site links, or for stale event calendars to automatically be forwarded to the current year’s version of that link. This does not forward results or photos links. This auto forwarding can be disabled if desired in the Event Manager –> Event –> Setup location. In addition, in the admin configuration, we will display the name of the linked event it is forwarding to.

Reports are now available to be scheduled for delivery via email

We have added a new feature that will allow users to schedule a report to be delivered to email. This is accessible within the `Event Manager –> Reports` tab of an event and is available for any report within that tab, both classic, interactive and custom. Reports can be scheduled to be delivered either once (on a specific date and time), daily (at a specific time), or weekly (at specific days of the week and time). This is allowed to be configured to send the same report to multiple emails, however the specific report can only be set to one schedule per user (they cannot have it set to be daily at 7:00AM and weekly on Fridays at 5:00PM, only one of those could be used). This feature will automatically run the report, and send an email to the user letting them know their report is ready, including a link to the report. Upon clicking the link, the user will be directed to a page on the application to download the report. We will not be attaching any reports inside of an email due to size and email exchange server restrictions.

FEATURE CHANGES & UPDATES

Removed tiers will not display for selection within membership perks

We have optimized the setup of membership perks within an event to no longer display ‘removed’ tiers in the ‘Membership Tier’ dropdown selection. This is the area where it can be configured for members to automatically receive a perk such as requiring membership or receiving a discount if they are a member.

Referral program coupons will now be valid for the entire event

We have updated referral program coupons to be valid for whole event rather than individual categories. This way if categories are added after referral coupons were generated, they will be valid for those new categories as well. Previously when a referral code was generated it would only be generated for the existing categories in the event at the time of generation.

Updated logo for Twitter

We have update the logo used for Twitter from the “bird” to the “X” in all locations that reference Twitter.

BUG FIXES

Accounting Dashboard would not display data when a search was performed

Resolved an issue where no data was returned if the statement ID was empty on a search

Interactive Registration List report not filtering by coupon type of referral

Resolved an issue where the report does not display any data when filtered by ‘coupon type: referral’

Teams created by an admin were being unintentionally deleted

Resolved an issue where teams were deleted by non-admin users who did not create them. This was found if an admin created a team, a user then selected that team, then removed the registration in their cart. Now only if the user that created the team, removes all of their incomplete registrations in their cart, will the created team also be deleted.
