Release Notes – 9.6.2023
Following are the release notes for additions, changes and fixes made to our software application releasing between August 23rd, 2023 and September 6th, 2023. NEW FEATURES
Auto Disabling of Category Changes, Transfers & Deferrals is now available
Added the ability to auto disable three settings at a specified date and time, relative to the event timezone. These three are: Category Changes, Deferrals, Transfers. If the setting is enabled at that date/time, it will switch the setting to disabled. It will only check at that date/time and will not retroactively update if a date/time is added and the date has passed.
Content Type of “Button” is available for Event Marketing Sites
Added a new content type of “button” that can be used for easy quick adds of buttons for any use, which also allows for quick modification and customization of the button including color, text color, button text, button URL, size and width. We previously had two defined buttons available for selection of fundraising page and registration page, that auto included and used the link to the respective pages.
FEATURE CHANGES & UPDATES
Admin entry text fields will now be trimmed upon save
All admin entered text entry fields will now be trimmed upon save. This will prevent unwanted spaces from accidentally appearing at the beginning of the end of the text field.
Email Unsubscribe enhancements when an event has no series and updated UX of unsubscribe selection
Unsubscribe selection page will no longer display ‘event series’ radio button as an option if the associated event does not have a series associated UI/UX of this feature. In addition, the UX has been optimized for when a user selects an unsubscribe option at a higher tier (organization or series), then it will default check the options below, so the user understands they are also unsubscribing from those options (series and/or event). This will prevent users from thinking they unsubscribe from communications from the tenant/organization, but would still receive marketing communications for the series or the specific event.
Participant Density Map (Heat Map) optimized for performance; Adds radius scale
Optimized the Participant Location Density Map (Heat Map) to always display by zipcode, add sliding scale for radius, added intensity and the optimized the service to get the latitude and longitude for locations for performance. This also solves where some events locations failed to load. The sliding scale for radius helps when viewing the density. Typically the farther out, the smaller the radius, the closer in the larger the radius would be beneficial.
Updated behavior when selecting All Categories for Onsite Hardware
Update the switch configuration UX when selecting “All” Categories to also select all categories below it. Previously the interaction would deselect the categories below it, causing users to think they were not selected. This now matches the switch configurations we use in other areas of the application. It is to be noted, if any category is added after this has been configured, to select “All” a user will need to add this category or re-select “All”. It is not expected that users would add categories after the onsite configuration has been configured.
BUG FIXES
Admin Coupon loading and searchingLeft search nav within Event Manager returned error 500
Resolved an issue that led to slow loading performance of /admin/coupons and that caused some coupons from being able to be searched.
Left nav search for Admin error 500
Resolved an issue where an admin attempting to use the left nav search within the Event Manager, where searching for features or settings, resulted in an error 500.
Failed membership renewal orders not visible
Resolve attempted membership renewal orders not showing on the /admin/registrations/view and or the users account orders view.
