Release Notes – 10.4.2023

Following are the release notes for additions, changes and fixes made to our software application releasing between September 20th, 2023 and October 4th, 2023. NEW FEATURES

New vs Repeat Widget Now Available

We have released a new widget to our Metrics & Analytics project that will now allow an admin to compare registrants in the current year event and see how many of those have registered are considered a repeat registrant. The comparison views both registrant counts and revenue. This allows for event organizers to determine if the registrants in the event are returning registrants, or new, and under what lens. We allow the repeat to be compared at three levels:

• Year over Year – Did this year’s registrant register in the last year’s linked event
• Event Series – Has this year’s registrant registered for any event in the linked Event Series (could be events in different locations OR over the course of any previous year)
• Tenant – Has this year’s registrant registered for event for the tenant (meaning are they a completely brand new registrant or not to the tenant)
  

FEATURE CHANGES & UPDATES

Users are now able to share event day photos and videos to any application on their device

Updated the share tool for photos and video to be migrated to use the native share integration of the OS and browser combination of the device. This unlocks the ability for users to be able to easily share with any application on their device, instead of the applications we directly integrated with which will increase the number of shares, impressions and media value. Yes, participants can now share directly with applications for example of Snapchat, Tiktok, SMS Message, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, and any application on their device that is set to post or share with. As a direct correlation, the number of downloads in metrics will be shown to decrease, largely because to share in the past, users needed to download locally, to then share to their application, they no longer need to do that.

Private events will now display on the HUB event directory if selected to display on the HUB

Previously we had filtered out all events that had a status of “Private”, “Disabled”, or “Cancelled”. We will no longer filter out “Private” and will rely on the event setting for “List event on the HUB”. This prevents issues where events meant to be open and searched, but change to a private status for a separate or final aspect of the event.

Corrals are now able to be marked as ineligible for auto-corralling

A corral will now be able to marked as ineligible for auto-corralling by checking the corral setting of “DoNot Include in Auto-Corralling”. If this is enabled, it will be skipped entirely when a corral is auto assigned from new registration, import or bulk corral re-distribution.

Fundraising Organization can now be imported with registration

We have exposed the field of “fundraising organization” as available to import for registrations. This will assign / change an organization to the fundraiser for all future fundraising. Any existing fundraising will not be impacted and will still be associated to the fundraiser in it’s total AND to the existing organization the funds were already donated to / raised for.

Event Product Fee Details Report has been updated to include product status; resolve bugs found within report

We have updated this report to include include product status, so products that were once purchased, but are now refunded / removed, will now display in the report if selected in the report filters. In addition we resolved issues that were causing the report to display
products that were not selected in a filter, caused products to not have an address displayed or a different version of the address.

All volunteer categories removed, or previous removed will be set with a category status of “Disabled”

All volunteer categories that are removed will now be set with a status of “disabled”. In addition, any previously removed volunteer categories were also set to “disabled”. This caused issues with categories that were removed, that still appeared on volunteer registration forms and an admin needed to reach out to support to resolve.

BUG FIXES

Correction Requests are now being assigned to the tenant

Updated the Corrections Request entry occurring from the general enmotive tenant to get the tenant_id of the event, so the request will be accessible within the event tenant

Child coupons being deleted upon edit

Resolved an issue where child coupons are being deleted when trying to edit the child coupon

Data Matrix code cache time has been updated to 7 days

Updated the cache for Data Matrix (QR Code) to be 7 days instead of 365 days, which should resolve the issue where some codes were still not delivering as expected in email campaigns, specifically when a user was set to dark mode. This was due to the code being loaded was an older cached version prior to the updates we made that optimized the generation, padding, etc on the image to combat dark mode and other email client settings

500 error on Membership Renewal, when membership had a linked renewal event

Resolved an issue where users were receiving an error 500 when submitting questions for a linked renewal event registration, during a membership renewal.

Users tokens expiring prematurely on 3rd party whitelist reports due to link checkers

Updated the link for 3rd party whitelist downloads to add a “Download Report” option on the page, when that link is clicked. The token will then be expired when that button is exectured, as opposed to expiring token when the email link is executed. This fix was added to combat link detection applications by mail clients or exchange providers from expiring the token before it could be used for its intended purpose.

Interactive Registration List Report displayed wrong shipping address for some registrations where shipping was required

Resolved an issue where incorrect addresses displayed for the registration in this report for their shipping address when a user edited their shipping address post-registration.
